This space has been created to show the violence and deliberate killing of people in Iran after the presidential elections on the 12th of June 2009. Principally it is dedicated to the victims of shootings and people tortured to death in detention centres. If you have any information on these cases, please send them to iranbodycount@gmail.com. If you do not wish, we will not publish names and sensitive details.

Salar Ghorbani Param (22 years old, Tehran, unknown date)
Hossein Toufanpour (Tehran, died 20 June)
Tina Soudi (Student, Tehran, died 20 June)
Hossein Akhtar Nejad (Isfahan, unknown date)
Maryam Mehr Azin (24 years old, Tehran)
Milad Yazdan Panah (30 years old, Tehran)
Hamed Besharati (26 years old, Tehran)
Babak Sepehr (35 years old, Tehran)
Moharram Chegini Qeshlaqi (34 years old, Tehran, on the second photo, government employee, killed on June 15 on Azadi Square, Son of Gholamreza. Buried in Tehran's cemetery; Behesht Zahra, plot 146 No 13)
Mohammad Hossein Feizi (26 years old, Tehran)
Ramin Ramezani (on the photo above, 20 years old, soldier, son of Mehdi. He was visiting home from drafted 2 year military service when he was shot three times and killed in Tehran during the second week of street protest (Jun 19 to 26). His funeral service was conducted under close watch of security forces. He was buried in Tehran’s cemetery Behesht Zahra Plot 257, row 46 number 32.)

  1. According to Iranbaan on Twitter: Meisam Ebadi 17 years old was killed at Sadegieh square in Tehran on 23rd day of Khordad.

  2. According to IranReport88 on Twitter: Behzad Ghahremani has been killed under torture, his family was strongly discouraged to hold any ceremonies but a large number of people attended his funeral.

  3. I suggest that you also contact CNN, BBC, CBS, Al Jazeera English, etc, and inform them about this list. They keep repeating the official number stated by the criminal regime of the IRI - which is 20 people. It's a shame that all these people were killed and that their deaths are not even acknowledged by mainstream media!
